Christian Evangelistic Mission has conducted and will continue to conduct missions of evangelism in the United States or wherever the Lord sends us. We request prayer for these mission activities because the recipients of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in most cases are extremely antagonistic to the Light of the world. We would ask for your prayers most of all that we, together with you, be part of the Harvest of souls for Christ. Without prayer we are unfocused and the spiritual forces of darkness will continue their stranglehold on the youth of America. We believe that only through faith alone in Christ alone does a human being face reality. Mission Portland Oregon Christian Evangelistic Mission has conducted 4 mission trips thus far to Portland Oregon. We intended to and did, with God?s help, communicate the truth of Jesus Christ to what people commonly refer to as the Punk Community. They refer to themselves as "gutter punks". These kids are not only devoid of Christian faith, but they have abandoned faith in mankind and even themselves. They are completely faithless and in darkness. Their plight, albeit self-inflicted in most cases or justified in other cases through extreme neglect or abuse, caught the attention of The Christian Evangelistic Mission and Mark Dawson volunteer to undertake the missions, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to reach the lost kids of Portland. Two souls came to Christ out of hundreds during those mission trips even though many kids were provided the truth. Two souls believed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the angels rejoiced - so did we. We were overjoyed at their acceptance of the Savior. Christian Evangelistic Missions does not define success, God does that. We pray that doors will open for the Gospel everywhere. We pray for revival in America and the subsequent spreading of the Gospel that revival brings.
And the Gospel is this, ?Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved,? Acts 16:31. Jesus is the third person of the Trinity and it was his mission to seek and to save that which was lost, namely mankind. He saved all mankind through his atoning sacrifice on Calvary?s tree. His work awaits the acceptance of individual human souls through faith. He paid for all sin. It?s just like God to make it so simple to be saved from our fallen state. Faith in Christ is as easy as breathing. It?s not our work it?s His that matters infinitely. He paid for the penalty we had coming to us. These ?punks? heard this simple message of redemption from sin and reconciliation to God through faith in Christ and that?s enough. That is the mission.
Christian Evangelistic Mission cannot save anyone, but we can humbly and fearfully participate for and with God in His work, under His truth, and in His Spiritual Power to offer His salvation to everyone.
